We run a small but fine lodge and tour business with a German-Tanzanian management. The combination of both best competences guarantees for wonderful travel experiences while the same time feeling comfortable and safe all along your route. We assist you to realize your individual dream-safari. Our lodge and safari-tours are called Moyoni Africa, which means: Africa in our hearts!
We engage people from the region, pay fair salaries and care for good working conditions. Major parts of the profit of Moyoni Africa and its branches are distributed between the social initiatives we support in the Kilimanjaro Region, Arusha and Manyara. This means you enjoy your travel experience and most of your expenses stay in the country and help to sustain our efforts. Even being engaged into many projects in Africa, education and qualification of young people and especially the support of young women is our concern. Our own family foundation, the W. Wegener Foundation, is the main sponsor of our social activities.

Our intimate boutique lodge has 5 charming double rooms and 2 separate garden apartments, each with its private bathroom and unique furnishings. With our extensive experience, we are able to cater to your every need, ensuring a truly memorable stay. So just relax with a drink in the lounge area or on your private balcony, and enjoy stunning views of Mount Meru right in front of you, or even catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro if the weather allows. In addition to all amenities, we endeavour to maintain our hotel ecologically. That's why the eco-lodge is fully powered by solar energy and equipped with its own water sources and wastewater systems. And we grow our own fruit and vegetables in our own garden.
